Thursday: Arapahoe Basin is open

Thursday, Oct. 29. Wednesday's games and Wednesday's Red Rocks show are off the calendar.

Ski. Arapahoe Basin is open. The resort's opening post says it opened Wednesday, Oct. 28, for its 80th season, the first resort in Colorado. Black Mountain Express runs 11 a.m.–4 p.m. and serves High Noon. Colorado Ski Country USA notes that opening. Opening day is past, so that one-day page is off the calendar.

Keystone's official opening day is Friday, Oct. 30, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. The announcement names Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon, a hike-to terrain park via the River Run Gondola and Montezuma Express, and a live DJ after the lifts close. This note does not print a ticket price.

Winter Park's hours page still says the resort will open as soon as possible. It does not name a day. A third-party projection of Oct. 30 is not confirmed, so Winter Park stays off the calendar. Loveland has no official date. OnTheSnow projects Nov. 6. That projection is not an official opening, so Loveland stays off the calendar. OnTheSnow also projects Nov. 6 for Copper, which already matches the day on Copper's own page.

Eat. No reviews. Ranalli's walk-up window at Federales, 2903 Larimer St., opens today, nightly from 4 p.m., with cheese, sausage, and pepperoni slices, plus chicken tenders and Caesar. Free slices are Saturday, Oct. 31, 4–6 p.m., one per person, no purchase needed, while they last. Neo's Latin Cuisine goes On Our List at 1818 E. Colfax Ave. Cenizas is still a November opening, with no day named.

Weekend. Boo at the Zoo is Friday, 4:30–9 p.m., at $27.95 for adults and $20.95 for youth, with ages 2 and under free. Saturday is the sensory-friendly night, $25.95 and $18.95. It is also on the family page. The Nightmare Before Christmas Live runs tonight through Saturday at Boettcher, including a Saturday 2 p.m. matinee, with Danny Elfman singing as Jack. deadmau5 is at Red Rocks Friday and Saturday, doors 7 p.m., show 7:30 p.m. 303 Magazine lists $80 and up. itchy-O's Hallowmass is Saturday at 7 p.m. at Summit, $105 and up. The Denver Zombie Crawl is Friday at 7 p.m. from ViewHouse Ballpark, and the guide says entry is free. Denver's Haunted Hop is Saturday at 8 p.m. from Larimer Lounge, 21 and over, with no price printed. The Avalanche play the Flames on Saturday. The Rapids play Chicago Fire on Saturday. The Avs Halloween 5K is on Visit Denver's Saturday list, with no time or price printed there. DU hockey plays Omaha on Friday. Teddy Swims is Sunday at 7 p.m. at Ball Arena, with Allen Stone on the OnesToWatch line. Orville Peck is Sunday at 8 p.m. at Mission Ballroom. The Broncos play the Chiefs Sunday at 2:25 p.m. Clocks fall back at 2 a.m. Sunday.
