Monday: arts week, a free museum night, and the ski check
Events that ended Nov. 1 are off the calendar. Fuerza Regida at Red Rocks is tonight and drops off after today. Denver Arts Week, FREE Night at the Museums, the Holiday Vibe Market, and Denver Fashion Week are filed for this week. Arapahoe Basin and Keystone are still open. Wolf Creek's homepage still says the ski area is closed. Copper and Breckenridge stay Nov. 6. Loveland still has no official date.
Monday, Nov. 2. Anything that ended Sunday, Nov. 1, is off the calendar. That includes the Día de Muertos listings, the Denver Film Festival, the Broncos' home game against the Chiefs, the Chatfield Farms corn maze, Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns, Teddy Swims, Yandel, Mon Laferte, and Orville Peck.
Tonight. Fuerza Regida is at Red Rocks at 8 p.m. That show is one night. It stays up today and drops off after tonight. A second Fuerza Regida date, Tuesday, Nov. 3, stays on the calendar.
This week. Denver Arts Week is Nov. 6–15. The page says it kicks off with expanded First Friday Art Walks. It does not say the week is free. FREE Night at the Museums is Saturday, Nov. 7, 5–10 p.m. Visit Denver says more than a dozen museums are free that night and that free shuttles run between them. Denver Art Museum general admission is free. DIVA needs an extra ticket. Clyfford Still is free 10 a.m.–10 p.m. The night is also on the family list.
The Holiday Vibe Market is at The Arch in RiNo, 3001 Walnut St., Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7–8, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. The page says it is free to attend, family friendly, and has 140+ artisans. It also offers an optional $5–$20 donation. Denver Fashion Week runs Nov. 7–14 at Astra Point Event Center in Lakewood. The tickets page names seven shows and does not print a price. It does not say admission is free.
Dabin (Red Rocks, Friday), ATLiens (Red Rocks, Saturday), and Face Vocal Band's 25th anniversary (Red Rocks, Sunday) were already on the calendar. New concert files are Houndmouth at Mission Ballroom on Friday, Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country at Cervantes on Friday and at Mission Ballroom on Saturday, and 311 at Mission Ballroom on Sunday. None of those ticket pages printed a price.
Eat. Black Box Cafe is already On Our List. It is the second Black Box Bakery location, in the old Suzette space in Edgewater. The cafe's page sets the full opening for Saturday, Nov. 7. There is no score.
Ski. Checked Monday morning. Arapahoe Basin's snow report still shows the resort open: no snow in the past 24 or 48 hours, an 18-inch base, a high of 28°F, a low of 21°F, 1 of 147 runs, 1 of 9 lifts, and 1 of 10 areas. It says there is no beginner terrain, and that no parking reservations are needed. Keystone's terrain page lists 1 of 144 trails, 0 of 21 lifts, and about 1 percent of the terrain. The season is open. That page does not show a lift running this morning. Wolf Creek's homepage still says the ski area is closed from Sunday, Nov. 1, until the Archuleta County evacuation order is lifted. It does not post a reopen date. Copper's opening page still says Friday, Nov. 6. Breckenridge's hours page still says opening day is November 6. Loveland's Oct. 26 snowmaking update still says there is no official opening date. The late-October or early-November aim is not a date. Last season's Nov. 8 opening is not this year's date.
