Evening: Wolf Creek's snow report, and shows still on tonight
Wolf Creek is still closed. Monday's snow report lists a 26-inch midway depth and 10.5 inches in 24 hours. Arapahoe Basin's low is 20°F. Keystone's own page and OnTheSnow still disagree on lifts. Copper and Breckenridge stay Nov. 6. Tonight's Nuggets game, Fuerza Regida, and Brand New stay on the calendar. New shows are filed at Mission Ballroom and the Fillmore.
Monday evening, Nov. 2. One-day events dated today stay on the calendar through tonight. They drop off after today. Anything that ended Nov. 1 or earlier is already off. This note replaces the ski line in this morning's note.
Tonight. The Nuggets list the Trail Blazers at Ball Arena at 7 p.m. Fuerza Regida is at Red Rocks at 8 p.m. AXS lists Brand New at Mission Ballroom the same night, doors 7 p.m. and show 8 p.m. The page says all ages and does not print a price. Women+ on the Edge of Democracy was at noon on the Capitol steps. That listing stays up through tonight with the rest of today's calendar.
This week, newly filed. Mission Ballroom adds Smoakland on Saturday, Nov. 14, and The Living Tombstone on Sunday, Nov. 15. Smoakland's clock time does not match across pages. AXS lists 7:30 p.m. with doors at 7 p.m. Cervantes lists doors at 8 p.m. and the show at 9 p.m. Both say ages 16 and up. Neither prints a price. The Living Tombstone listing is 7 p.m., ages 16 and up.
Live Nation's Fillmore calendar adds Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 5:30 p.m., with Superheaven and Boundaries. Mutate Presents: Restricted is Friday, Nov. 6, at 8 p.m., with Marie Vaunt. 6LACK's 10 Years tour is Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., with Eem Triplin. Vince Staples' Cry Baby Tour is Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m., with Glare. Los Gemelos de Sinaloa's Gemeliza Tour is Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. None of those Live Nation pages print a price. The address on the venue page is 1510 Clarkson, Denver.
Red Rocks, Ball Arena, the Grizzly Rose, and the shows already filed for Mission Ballroom this weekend were rechecked against the venue lists. Those dates are unchanged. No cancellation turned up on those calendars.
Eat. No new opening or closing was verified after this morning's note. Westword's Nov. 2 cafe calendar lists special dinners this week and prints these prices: a Piedmont wine dinner at Restaurant Olivia on Tuesday, Nov. 3, for $373; a progressive dinner starting at Küper Wine Bar in Longmont on Wednesday, Nov. 4, for $150; Thai & Terroir at Daughter Thai that same night for $79; a Tavernetta dinner on Thursday, Nov. 5, for $300; a balsamic dinner at Dear Emilia on Saturday, Nov. 7, for $198; and the Brown Palace Champagne Cascade on Sunday, Nov. 8, at $235 and up. It also lists a donation-based agave tasting at Ni Tuyo tonight and does not give a clock time. The same story lists Molino Chido's one-year anniversary at Stanley Marketplace on Wednesday, Nov. 11, with fresh masa, tacos, tortas, cochinita pibil, a live DJ, and natural wines. It does not print a ticket price. Those figures are Westword's. This page does not add them as separate calendar files.
Ski. Wolf Creek's homepage, checked this evening, still says the ski area is closed from Sunday, November 1, until the Archuleta County evacuation order is lifted. It does not post a reopen date. The Monday snow report on that page lists a settled midway depth of 26 inches, 10.5 inches in 24 hours, 13 inches in 48 hours, 17 inches in 72 hours, 17 inches in 7 days, a 12-inch storm total, and 39 inches for the year. Saturday evening that homepage listed a 17-inch midway depth.
Arapahoe Basin's snow report lists no snow in the past 24 or 48 hours, an 18-inch base, a high of 28°F, a low of 20°F, 1 of 147 runs, 1 of 9 lifts, and 1 of 10 areas. It says there is no beginner terrain, and that no parking reservations are needed. Monday morning the low on that report was 21°F.
Keystone's counts still do not match. The terrain page lists 1 of 144 trails, 0 of 21 lifts, and about 1 percent of the terrain. OnTheSnow's Nov. 2 report lists an 18-inch base, 2 of 21 lifts, 44 acres, about 1 percent open, and no snow today. This note prints both counts. It does not call the resort closed.
Copper's opening page still says Friday, November 6. Breckenridge's hours page still says opening day is November 6. Loveland's hours page still says late October or early November and lists the lifts closed for the season. There is still no official date. Winter Park's hours page still says as soon as possible. Eldora's FAQ still schedules Friday, November 13. Vail's hours page still says opening day is Nov. 13, with winter hours starting that day.
