Ski town spotlight: Breckenridge

Breckenridge is scheduled to open Friday, Nov 6, weather permitting. When we published the Saturday spotlight on Oct 24, that was 13 days out. The date is the part to keep. The countdown was only true that day.

That same Saturday, Underworlds: Woodland Creature Costume Party was at the Old Masonic Hall, 136 S. Main St., at 8 PM. Tickets were $10 plus a fee. The Other Worlds exhibition after dark, with music, dancing, and a cash bar. Costumes encouraged, body paint discouraged, so the art stays intact.

Getting there is about 80 miles from Denver on I-70. That is a general estimate. Leave early on weekends and check COtrip.org.
